I am so grateful for your comments!! Also grateful to my children. Sarah did my workout with me on Saturday. Both kids checked in this morning to see how my workout went. I ate some unhealthy food on Friday and felt terrible on Saturday. That’s good motivation to eat right. Some days I’m tired but I’m pushing through.

Message from our study leader today: Success doesn't happen at the end, it happens all along the way. Pro tip about personal trainers - if you make something look easy, they will make it harder!! Having a personal trainer is truly a game changer. They are really focused on improving the weak areas. I can't believe how much progress I've made in such a short time. To quote Winnie the Pooh, you're stronger than you think my friends. Also, down 10 pounds since the intake weight one month ago today. Yay I haven't been able to go to yoga since the first session, but planning to go tomorrow. Today's question was What is standing in your way of success? My response - NOTHING!!! (I wanted to write, not an f-ing thing! But they plan to publish these results in a scientific journal.) PS - love the Tina Turner in the playlist!

Wow last week was a lot. Very busy at work, sharing a vehicle with Jeff, and trying to be successful at this new lifestyle! Should be easy now!! Workouts are going well. Cardio workouts are going well. Fasting days are going well. Not really sure about the non-fasting days, but I'll focus on those soon. If you have favorite, upbeat songs, I'd love suggestions for my playlist. Note: I have Coldplay and U2 covered. Thanks for the comments! I love the support!

On Thursday we had our orientation and kickoff meeting. I met all the other participants which was truly awesome. We got our schedule including cooking classes. Saturday I went to rooftop yoga in a beautiful garden - definitely want to keep going to that!! Today I met with one of the personal trainers for my first session. I did better than I expected. I held side planks for 30 seconds! I made it up to 240 lbs on the leg press and 80 lbs on the seated row. Who knew?! Also did a brisk 3-mile walk. Tomorrow is my first fast day where I'm limited to 500 calories consumed around dinner time. They warned us we would be tired. I'm starting to believe them! Hope all is well with all of you.

Thank you for all the support!! It truly helps. My fitness center membership started today. I went out, checked it all out and did a 1-hour workout. The facility is very nice with a sauna, steam room, pool, and hot tub in addition to the workout stuff. The locker room is great! The equipment tracks reps for you and only counts if you fully complete the movement. No cheating!! LOL The staff is super friendly. I'm glad I was able to figure it all out on a slow day. Personal training starts next Monday. Let's Go!
